• Washing:

  • Dry Clean Preferred: Many crepe garments are labeled as "dry clean only" due to their susceptibility to shrinkage and distortion when exposed to moisture.

  • Hand Washing (if permitted): If the care label allows, hand wash in cool water using a mild detergent. Avoid scrubbing or twisting the fabric. Rinse thoroughly and extract water gently without wringing. 

• Drying:

  • Lay the garment flat on a clean, dry towel to air dry. Hanging wet crepe can lead to stretching and misshaping. 

• Ironing:

  • Use a low heat setting on your iron. It's advisable to place a pressing cloth between the iron and the fabric to prevent direct heat contact. Avoid using steam, especially on rayon crepe, as it can cause the fabric to shrink or become misshapen. 

• Storage:

  • Store crepe garments folded in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent discoloration and fabric damage. Hanging can cause the fabric to stretch over time.
